Sue graduated from Aston University in 1983, whilst current business partner Lynne was still in primary school.
A preregistration year and a year as a relief pharmacist for Boots Chemist took her to the summer of 1985.
With a desire for a more clinical role Sue moved into working for the NHS in Alder Hey and then Clatterbridge hospital for 15 years. Whilst at Clatterbridge she developed a number of services including a domiciliary support service to hospice patients for which she won a Pharmaceutical care award in 1996.
Whilst working in hospital Sue specialised in elderly care, spending 10 years as a Nursing Home inspector as part of her role and working as a clinical pharmacist on 8 community awards.
Staying within the NHS, Sue moved into the developing area of Pharmacy in Primary care in Liverpool. She worked with the Liverpool Medicines Management Team for 13 years, completing a clinical diploma in advanced therapeutics and qualifying as an independent prescriber whilst working there.
Sue continued working with older people taking the role as Lead pharmacist for elderly people within the team.
Sue co-founded Ashburton Prescribing Consultants in June 2013.
